What is Tabata Bootcamp™

Tabata Bootcamp™ is an 8 week bootcamp that is based on High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) using the 20-10 Microburst Training Protocol. Bootcampers receive an easy and individually formatted program from a certified Tabata Bootcamp™ trainer and participate in weekly workouts that will result in true, successful weight loss and muscle gain.

The bootcampers meet in a group setting with their trainer 2-3 times a week for comprehensive total body workouts that focus on lower body, upper body, and core providing both cardio and strength. Within each 45 minute workout, bootcampers experience short intervals based on Tabata Bootcamp's training that delivers a calorie drenching workout and post metabolic boost (i.e. boosts your metabolism to burn calories after the workout). Tabata Bootcamp's motto is "Quality, not quantity".

Tabata Bootcamp™ offers effective workouts that maximize your results in minimal time. And in each of your small group sessions, your trainer will provide you valuable guidance on other important factors in your lifestyle that are impacting your weight and fitness levels and how taking small steps during your 8 week bootcamp will lead to big results.

Then to keep your metabolism boosted between your small group sessions, bootcampers have the option to participate in 6-minute daily web workouts provided to them on the online Tabata Bootcamp™ Members Website. While 6 minutes may seem incredibly short, you'll burn an average of 50 calories during the 6 minutes, but more importantly these 6 minute daily blasts boost your metabolism to burn an additional 250 calories during the next 24 hours. That's 300 calories burned by investing only 6 minutes.

What if I'm not very physically fit?
That's what we're here for. No one will be left behind or asked to complete more than than they are capable of doing safely.  Women of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate.  You are advised to always consult with your health care provider before beginning any new exercise program.  Persons in high risk categories may be required to provide a physician's release.

What is the Cost? (Think of this as an investment in yourself)
The cost for an 8-week Tabata Bootcamp program (24 group sessions) is just $189.  There is a separate optional $9.99 cost for the online portion of the program which gets you access to your daily 6-minute video workouts, nutritional guide and meal plans, etc.  Personal trainers can typically charge $50 to $120 an hour for their services.  This is a great opportunity to receive motivating fitness instruction from a certified trainer and online support for just a fraction of the typical cost.

Temple Builders Tabata Bootcamp is held at beautiful Gray's Lake Park near downtown Des Moines.  Gray's Lake is located the at intersection of Fleur Drive and George Flagg Pkwy.

What do I need to bring?
Each participant will need to bring an exercise mat, a pair of dumbbells (5-8 lbs.), and a water bottle to class with them each day, unless otherwise instructed.
